Obama has no class.
He is desperate and acting like a 3rd grader on a school yard after losing a fight.
He didn’t call her a pig. He made a metaphorical statement where he said “You can put jewels on a pig, but it is still a pig.”
Saying you can spin Sarah Palin and her politics anyway you want but she still has the same politics and track records.
This phrase has been around for a long time… And if you took the time to read the article that went along with this headline, you would have known this quote was completely different than the one you posted.
Maybe the unbelievable part is that republicans cant seem to get their facts straight before they post defamatory remarks on a public forum.
Or that republicans are so desperate for their party to have attention that they hire a woman with such an awful track record to run as vp, to conjure up some publicity.
Or maybe its just unbelievable that people like you get to post biased smear campaigns with not one ounce of truth for naive people to read and believe… All the while your post is littered with punctuation and grammar errors.
This makes me want to vote Obama so he will fix public education, and someone can teach you how to read and write properly, as the republican school system has obviously failed you.
He didn’t call her a pig. He referred to McCain’s/ Bush’s politics as the pig and lipstick was something to try to make it look like something pretty in disguise.
As Obama answered David Letterman, IF he had meant reference to Sarah Palin in that remark, Palin would have been the lipstick and not the pig.–McCain is using Palin as something pretty and new and intriguiing (because nobody knows anything about her), to distract people from the real agenda of the Republicans. Palin is the distraction–not the pig.
I think it is horrible that Palin would make rape victims pay for their own rape kits, however, but charged the government $42,000.00 for travel expenses for her daughters and husband.
If you believe that Obama called Palin a pig than you must also believe that McCain called Hillary a pig, because McCain used the exact same words to Hillary in October, 2007. Because McCain said this to Hillary and did not apologize, McCain’s outrage was as phony as a three dollar bill. And just for the record, McCain has run the nastiest campaign in my memory, and I have been voting for 40 years, so I’ve seen some pretty bad campaigns. It would be good of you to check your facts before you accuse Obama.
What?! He was not even thinking about Palin. He was focused on the economy & the term is used all the time. He was describing how something can be written up to look pretty but is still isn’t…McCain has been shown all over the news using this term a few months ago to describe something Hillary Clinton wrote. Do a search for the term…this is all coming because McCain/Palin are doing nothing about the issues. She is the one that insulted women when she said “the difference between a hockey mom & a pit bull is lipstick”. The republicans cheered this comment as if it is a good thing…..Obama had nothing to do this. He is talking to people about the deficit & the war & the education & health & jobs & not about Palin & lipstick.
You’re a liar:
“Let’s just list this for a second. John McCain says he’s about change, too. Except — and so I guess his whole angle is, “Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We’re really gonna shake things up in Washington.” That’s not change. That’s just calling some — the same thing, something different. But you know, you can — you know, you can put lipstick on a pig; it’s still a pig. “
I’ve seen the quote and read the McCain/Palin outrage. I’ve also seen McCain use the same expression when referring to Mrs Clinton. So if that is how McCain interprets the comment does that not mean that is how he interpreted it when he used it? Palin accused Clinton of whining about such attacks, is she now whining? And are not the same pundits who are spinning this, the same ones who were outraged that Mrs Clinton wore an outfit so revealing that you could tell she was not a man?
No he did NOT!
He merely used the same quote McBush used during the primary. then it was directed to one of Hilary’s proposals.
The Repubs are just feigning outrage b/c people will hear what they want to hear and run with it as the truth.

Let me reiterate; Obama did not call Palin a pig
But MC Bush did refer to Hilary as a lesbian and her daughter ugly.
hehe i gotta love Obama
You know a president is smart when he makes points that citizens dont get
please Kid , you need to read what he said and think again
1. He said that Palin is a lipstick and McCain policies are a pig
do you get the point now? How old are you by the way?
I hope you actually watched enough news to know that Obama wasn’t even talking about Palin …. But I’d be glad to do what he couldn’t … Palin is a pig. … and I’m not even a democrat .
The republicans will say anything to keep your mind off the real issues … seems to be working .

not only that it was wrapped (like the fish) in stolen cartoon material
thanks! here is the stolen material from a sept 5th cartoon!!!
“Watch out, George Bush, except for economic policy, health-care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy, and Karl Rove-style politics. We’re really gonna shake things up in Washington.”
Obama didn’t call her a pig & you know it,he wasn’t even referencing her & MCCAIN KNOWS IT,SINCE HE USED THE SAME TERM TO DESCRIBE HILLARY CLINTON’S HEALTHCARE PLAN !
Since mccain want’s to talk about makeup………why don’t him & his campaign talk about making up “FACTS” about her background..which are lies ! !
Yeah, damn negative candidates using well-known idioms that can be taken as sexist if you’re really, really trying hard to be offended by something. They should put a stop to them.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BR8IhMMhe…
He was referring to McCains policies. (you can make it look pretty, but it still the same)…very bad choice of words since it came a week after Palins comment on the lipstick, pit bull thing.
McCain/Palin 08!
first of all… he didnt say that. secondly sarah palin IS a pig. the majority of alaskas are definitely not fond of her. before you ask another question like this do some research.
its been unbelievable since Iowa.. first Hillary, now Palin and the perplexing part is the media is condoning it…
McCain did say this first about Hillary though. The McCain camp doesnt have the cleanest record when speaking of manners either.
Read the full article..understand the context..and the phrase lipstick on a pig has been around a long time. Even Mccain has used it. So don’t go all “shock horror”.
Wow someone actually gets there news from canned sound bytes and not from the entire speech! Sounds like you heard what you wanted to hear and then stopped listening.
Palin is a good leader and deserves not to be called a pig.
No, you are the unbelievable one!
Obama’s campaign is in self-destruct mode
He keeps stepping in pit-bull doo doo everytime he opens his mouth lately.
He is desperate.
Barack Hussein Obama is an enemy to Patriotic Americans, Whites and now …Women!
Its simply desperate. Or was it that an Ivy league jab at woman empowerment?
…and he gave the “middle finger” to Hillary right in the middle of a speech!!! Can’t wait for McCain to kick his ***!!!
She’s not really a pig?
you sir are a moron and a pig farmer
Dems are digging their graves
Obama’s brand of negative politics always gins up feelings of Hate
We, as a nation, must put an end to this type of divisiveness, and send Sen. Obama back to Chicago where he belongs
