world of warcraft 2nd pet?

Filed in Category WoW Pets

well i downloaded the 10 day trial of wow about a week ago, made a hunter thats now level 20, and i got a few days left before the trial ends..but there’s a few things i haven’t figured out.

how do i get a 2nd pet?
is there a way to get rid of the pet you start out with, cuz it won’t let me use the tame beast spell, and i’d like to at least try it out.

Before you can tame a new pet you have to abandon your current one, to do so… make sure it as been called out, then under your portrait (By default, top left corner) there should be a smaller portrait for your pet with its health, etc.
Right click your pets portrait and click Abandon pet, once you have done this you can then tame a new pet :)

Edit: At lower levels, you can only tame beasts.

If the option is still their I think the stable master can store pets. I played over a year ago so things may have changed.

lol you dont have to abandon your first pet. You just need to have an available slot in your stable, and dismiss the first one.

You need an available slot in your stable, yes, but you also need to be lvl ten to be able to tame more animals. You no longer need to do the taming quests, but you still don’t get Tame Pet until lvl ten.

Talk to a Stable Master (usually somewhere near a hunter trainer in cities) to store your current pet, allowing you to train another.
