How Do I Level Pets In Wow?

Im trying to level the pet but his experience hasnt gone up. What raises his experience?

    Make sure your fighting something you get exp from, or if maxxed something you within a few levels of yourself.

    I would just make sure you have him/her casted and assisting your kills. Get the proper training for him/her from the pet trainer in the major cities. He will seem to be a level or two behind you most of the time but will catch up, don’t worry :)
