How do i increase framerate (FPS) on PC games? (Such as world of warcraft)?

Filed in Category WoW Battle Videos

My RL friends want me to play WoW but my machine runs at REALLY bad FPS (usually under 15 in flight, and 25 in battles, on ALL low setting for video) any idea how i could increase it to 50 or more? Would i have to get a graphics card? Right now i have integrated graphics which pretty much blow. I have 1 gig of ram, not sure about my processor. What do i need to upgrade?

You’ll need to upgrade you’re graphics card, go for an 8600GT.

Upgrade from integrated graphics. I’m not sure of your budget, so I can’t recommend a card for you.

(Also, don’t listen to the man above me… He doesn’t know the difference between you’re and your.)

The human eye can’t detect much difference once it reaches +30 FPS. So +50 would be nice, but you probably won’t notice.

This site provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer’s hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer’s components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products.

Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you’ll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.
