The way you can check you progress even when your not on the game is by going tohttp://www.wowarmory.com/
then log in and once you have logged in select the character you want to look at, at the same thing you had loged in. once you have selected your character you can look at your lvl, guild, stats, and more there. Also, if you dont know what lvl your at while playing the game, press the “C” that’s on your keyboard and that’s where your stats are. another way to check your stats without pressing “C” on your keyboard go to the picture frame of your head that is at the bottom of the screen. that is how you can check your stats and lvl. Also, (for in case you dont know already) if you want to check how much expierience you still need until you lvl go to the long bar that is slightly above the action bar and if you move your mouse over it and keep it there just for like 1 or 2 seconds, they tell you how much expireince you got and how much you need to lvl, they also show how rested you are over to the right while putting your mouse over the expierience bar, if you are rested then when you kill a monster or whatever, you can get double the amount to expierience you would usually get from those monsters.
    I hope i helped :) !

I reccomend you reffer to the following website: http://www.wowarmory.com. This is the World of Warcraft (Blizzard) website that displays both your character’s level, armor, rankings, reputation, and many other numerous things.

Go to the world of warcraft Armory.
Although i have never power level because i personally believe that you need to lvl your own character to know how to play him.
If you get owned by someone, i guarantee that person didn’t get their char pwr lvld. If you “don’t have the time to quest and lvl” you should not be playing WoW in the first place, because it is a game that is based on time to progress through.

Like all the answers previously given wowarmory.com is the place to go to check your character level.
Once thing to consider when looking at your character’s level is that wowarmory is not real-time updating. So you may actually be a higher level than is being shown. Just a fyi.
