Excerpts from a Cat’s Daily Diary…

It is day 983 of my captivity. My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects.

They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a ‘good little hunter’ I am. B*stards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of ‘allergies.’ I must learn what this means and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow — but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released – and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded.

The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicating with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now…………….

Mine was that im bi so i told her,the 1st and only person that i have told and she told me that just about every nite when her mum went to work that she would have sex,vaginal penertration,with her pet dog a male labrador….i just laughed saying does he do u good,not believing her for a minute.
She said o yeah very energetically and he has 7 yummy rock hard inches he fills me with and hes allways ready to get it on,and his tongue,well u can imagine his big wet warm doggy tongue and what it can do….and i said wow licky laughing saying she was a doggies bitch…we just laughed and laughed at that and just continued having a good time.

The next day as we were swimming in the pool she said i should come over and stay at her place tonite and we can have a real good time,the 3 of us…u get what im saying here people.
I just said mabey because i didnt know what else to say,didnt want to seem horrified and i thought she was joking last nite.Seems she wasnt and she is my best friend and i dont want to judge her im pretty open and wild myself but to hear what she does with the dog is completely new to me.To be honset it doesnt creep me out because i live and let live and think whatever floats your boat.

i just dont know what to say to her when she asks me again to come to her house tonite.She can do what she wants with her dog just i dont want to be there when she does,it will be very awkward,but i dont want to decline her offer because that will look like im judging her.

Noah: funny you mention swimming?

House Holder: you would not believe the honeymoon they have planned forty fun filled days and forty exciting nights on Mount Ararat it should be nice if the weather stays as it is

Noah: I would not count on it, you see

House Holder: sorry I’ll have to go now
(Going inside to his wife, he says) What a strange Guy that was at the door

Wife: who was it dear?

House Holder: don’t really know some preacher of righteousness and he sure smelled like animals maybe he owns a pet shop, well are we ready to go now dear?

Anyway we brought over a boy cat just to shut her up but I dont think she got pregnant since the boy cat was smaller than her and could never…uh quite get there. But as of the last 3 weeks shes been meowing like shes about to go into heat again and shes all lovey dovey, and her nipples have all plumped up like they are filled with somthing and they are really pink. Its the only time shes ever loved us to pet her belly. Could she be pregnant? Or could this maybe be a maturing effect? Since it was around october that she was with the boy cat i figured there was no way she would be pregnant since it was so long ago, but we did let her outside once for an hour in our backyard once 4 weeks ago but it seems unlikely there would of been a boy cat around since we live in the middle of the desert pretty much. Please help! :(

For those who don't know, he is my Coby, my maltese/poodle MUTT. I got him from a rescue a few weeks ago.

Anyway, I was with him in PetSmart when a lady asked, "What kind of dog is he?"

I answered, "He's a maltese/poodle mix." The lady got a delighted look on her face.

"Oh, a maltipoo? I love those dogs."

"Something like that," I agreed through my teeth, wishing I could chew her out.

"My Bella looks just like him. Maltipoos are great." The lady smiled and reached down to pet him. (Coby, bless him, slunk away from her hand and let out a low growl.)

"Especially when you count all the genetic health problems," I added under my breath. She didn't hear me though.

"He has a great temperment," she told me as Coby tried to hide from her. "Are you going to breed him?"

I had a water bottle in my hand and I dropped it. My mouth fell open. Coby looked at me like I was crazy.

"What?" I asked the woman, my eyes locking onto hers. She started to get uncomfortable.

"He looks like a great breeding specimen. There aren't enough maltipoos nowadays. The pet store by me hasn't had any in stock since April." I was still frozen.

A smile danced across my face, and an evil glint appeared in my eye. "Why yes," I agreed, "there *aren't* enough maltipoos nowadays." The lady looked relieved.

"You know," she started, "I'm looking for a stud for my Bella. Would you be interested?"

I didn't mention that Coby was neutered.

"Maybe," I answered. "Is she a good specimen?"

"Oh yes!" The lady began to tell me all about her Bella. "She's small-- about 6 pounds. She's pure white with brown eyes. She's very clean. I think she'd make a great mom."

"She sure sounds like it," I agreed, my smile getting bigger. "What else?"

She thought for a moment. "She gets compliments all the time. She's very cute."

"She sure sounds like it," I agreed. "I just have a few more questions."

"Sure," the lady said.

"Has she been tested for vWB? How was her OFA score? Her CERF? Narcolepsy? Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency? Dyslapsia? Hypothyroidism? Progressive Retinal Atrophy?"

The lady's eyes got bigger and bigger as I listed off some more (luckily I had just read an article about it. Funny how things work, huh?) Finally, when I was finished, she answered.

"Her vet said she was really healthy."

I smiled. "Of course. Is she registered?"

"Yes!" the lady said proudly. "The Continental Kennel Club."

"Oh wow. That's wonderful." I paused, composing myself. "Has she won any titles?" The lady looked at me blankly. "In dog shows?" I added.

A pause. "I wasn't aware the CKC held dog shows."

I shrugged. "Ah, well. It doesn't matter. Your Bella seems like a wonderful dog."

"Oh, she is," the lady assured me.

"Maybe I will stud out my Coby."

The lady's face lit up. "That's wonderful! Bella will go into her first heat any day now, so I'll email you. Sound like a plan?"

My smile got ten times wider. "Oh yes, it sure does. Only, I forgot to mention one thing."

"Yeah?"

"I only let Coby mate with b*tches that are spayed."

The lady's face took on a look of confusion. "But... that means a dog can't have puppies."

"Exactly."

Angry, the lady stalked off, and I hurried to the car before I broke down into a fit of laughter that lasted a good ten minutes. Coby just looked at me the whole time.

I was wondering... has anyone ever come up to you and asked about breeding your dog? What'd you do?

What happened?

My friend tonight was telling me how he was meditating (he’s a Buddhist) and for the first time tried thinking kindness thoughts towards his old cranky cat as part of his meditation… and normally this cat is very quiet and calm when he meditates… but as soon as he started meditating about his cat, the cat started howling weirdly!

That’s a far-out example… and I’ve never had any spooky communication like that with my own pets. But have you had a moment when you were sure that an animal understood what you were thinking, or vice versa?
