I received several emails a short while ago describing that I had been banned from World of Warcraft for Gold Farming, Exploiting bugs, Hacking, etc. However, I noticed that the emails contained many typos and one even lead to a blocked and reported phishing site. The emails all referenced to my account name.

It turns out though that my password had been changed, so I went to the account recovery feature and learned that i needed to put in what I put for my first and last name. I made the names up when I first created the account and I don’t remember what they were.

So later, I contacted Blizzards technical support and asked them about if anything could be done seeing as I had 2 expansions on that account.

It’s been 2 weeks and they haven’t replied back except for a “received your question” automated e-mail.

Short Version:

1. My account was hacked.
2. I forgot what I put for “First and Last Name” so I can’t use the automated recovery
3. I contacted Blizzard, it’s been 2 weeks, no response.
4. I have all the serial codes for the games and expansions, plus standard credit card info and email for confirmation.
5. What can people like me do to get my account back?

Or should I just wait for Cataclysm to come out and get a guide then?
Still do you know anyone who will come out with a gold farming guide for Cataclysm?

LEVELING GUIDES:
I used to have Derek’s in game Leveling guide. But, I no longer have it, and can no longer find it. What are good in game leveling guides that will work with WOTLK? Also, will I have to buy a whole new one for Cataclysm?
